Pouch cell vacuum heat sealer
Prepare laboratory pouch cells with four packaging functions in one benchtop machine. The chamber accepts cells up to 160 × 180 × 12 mm, with a standard 4 mm seal width and a sealing length up to 190 mm.
Set the sealing temperature, dwell time and vacuum-hold duration from the touchscreen. The machine can be installed in a dry room or a suitably sized argon or nitrogen glovebox, with external gas and vacuum services.
Maximum settings are equipment limits. Validate the sealing process for the selected laminate, tab sealant and cell chemistry.

Top, side and vacuum sealing
The upper and lower dies close the selected edge of the pouch. A sealing blade with a rubber buffer provides the documented soft-sealing configuration. The standard seal is 4 mm wide; alternative widths require a separately specified die.
Top and side seals can be made without applying vacuum. Vacuum sealing requires a compatible external pump. A vacuum hold and inert-gas purge can be incorporated when required by the validated cell-assembly procedure.
Gas and vacuum connections
Rear connections provide access to inert purge gas, pneumatic actuation gas and vacuum. The pneumatic chamber lid and sealing mechanism require a regulated gas supply; the recommended supply pressure is approximately 4.1 bar (60 psi).
For glovebox use, supply high-purity argon or nitrogen rather than compressed room air. A two-stage regulator is required when using a gas cylinder. Check the glovebox opening, feedthrough positions and clearance for the raised lid before installation.

Operate with one trained user. Keep hands clear of the powered lid and hot sealing dies. Allow the dies to cool before cleaning; follow the machine manual for cleaning, inspection and pneumatic maintenance.
