Single-side ceramic-coated lithium-ion battery separator roll based on a polyethylene (PE) microporous substrate coated with alumina (Al₂O₃), designed for enhanced thermal stability and improved safety in Li-ion battery applications.

The separator combines the flexibility of PE with the high-temperature resistance of an Al₂O₃ ceramic layer, improving dimensional stability and reducing thermal shrinkage risks. It is suitable for lithium-ion pouch cells, cylindrical cells, and laboratory-scale battery research requiring improved safety margins.
