Chemical & Installation Compatibility
PTFE provides broad chemical resistance, but actual compatibility and operating limits depend on the chemical medium, concentration, temperature, pressure, tubing dimensions, fittings and installation conditions. The stated −190 to +260 °C range should not be interpreted as a universal continuous operating range for every application. The 327 °C value represents the material melting point and is not a recommended service temperature. Metric and fractional-inch tubing follow separate dimensional standards and must be matched with compatible fittings. For pressurized, vacuum-critical or safety-critical systems, verify the complete installation under the intended operating conditions before use.
