4.5 mm forming-depth test index with no fracture or delamination under the stated forming test conditions.

Each configuration is supplied in packs of 20 sheets for research, development and prototype-scale battery assembly.

Material architecture

PA / aluminum / PP multilayer construction

The 113 µm laminate combines an outer polyamide layer for mechanical protection, an aluminum foil barrier layer and an inner polypropylene surface for pouch-cell heat sealing.

The multilayer construction is permanently bonded into a flexible laminate suitable for laboratory pouch-cell enclosure preparation and sealing.

No fracture or delamination under the stated forming test conditions. Peel, sealing, forming and electrolyte-resistance values are technical test indices for the 113 µm laminate.

Important information

Orientation, forming, sealing and compatibility

Flat pre-cut sheets Sheets are supplied flat and unformed. Listed dimensions correspond to the nominal pre-cut sheet dimensions before forming or sealing.
Film orientation The darker PA surface forms the external side of the pouch, while the brighter PP surface faces the internal cell volume. Tab-sealing polymer should contact the PP surface at the electrode-tab feedthrough.
Forming depth The 4.5 mm forming-depth value is a technical test index. Practical forming capability also depends on cavity dimensions, corner radius, tooling geometry, forming process and operating conditions.
Heat sealing Sealing temperature, pressure and dwell time should be established according to the sealing equipment, selected tab-sealing material and pouch-cell assembly process.
Electrolyte compatibility Compatibility should be validated for the intended electrolyte system, operating temperature and test duration before use with a new battery chemistry.
Handling Avoid scratching, sharply folding or damaging the laminate, particularly near areas intended for forming and heat sealing. Keep the sealing surfaces clean before pouch assembly.
