Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber Blanket — 1600°C Grade

Polycrystalline mullite fiber blanket designed for laboratory furnaces and thermal-processing systems requiring flexible insulation beyond the temperature capability of conventional ceramic fiber blankets.

Its lightweight fibrous structure combines low heat storage with good dimensional stability at elevated temperature, making it suitable for furnace hot-face insulation, high-temperature chamber lining, localized furnace repair and thermal barriers.

The standard range is supplied in practical 610 mm-wide laboratory sections with 6, 12.5 or 25 mm thicknesses. Longer lengths and custom-cut dimensions are available on request.

The standard range is based on the 610 mm width commonly used for polycrystalline mullite furnace insulation. Three thicknesses cover applications ranging from thin thermal barriers and localized repair to deeper furnace lining. Practical 1 m and 2 m sections are supplied for laboratory use without requiring the purchase of a full industrial roll. Longer lengths and custom-cut dimensions are available on request.

• Select blanket thickness according to the required insulation depth and available installation space.

• The flexible blanket can be cut and shaped for furnace chambers, curved surfaces, thermal barriers and localized repair.

• Compression reduces the effective insulation thickness and should be considered during installation.

• Cutting and handling may generate fibers or dust; use suitable extraction and appropriate personal protective equipment.
