10–20 m³/h Clean Laboratory Vacuum
The S4R DSP Series Oil-Free Dry Scroll Vacuum Pump provides clean primary-vacuum generation for laboratory, battery-research and materials-processing systems where oil-sealed pumping technology is undesirable.
Three configurations from 10 to 20 m³/h combine dry scroll compression, a KF25 vacuum interface and ultimate pressures down to 1 Pa in a compact, air-cooled platform.
Clean vacuum without an oil-sealed pumping chamber
A compact dry-vacuum platform combining oil-free scroll compression, low acoustic output and standard KF25 integration.
Progressive gas compression without vacuum oil
A dry scroll pump uses two intermeshing spiral elements. One scroll remains fixed while the second follows an orbital motion, forming gas pockets that move progressively through the compression mechanism.
As these pockets decrease in volume, the gas is compressed and discharged without requiring vacuum oil in the pumping chamber. This makes dry scroll technology particularly suitable for laboratory systems where clean mechanical vacuum is required.
Three capacities for clean laboratory vacuum
The three configurations share the same dry-scroll pumping principle, KF25 vacuum interface and nominal installation envelope.
| S4R Reference | Pumping Speed | Rotational Speed | Ultimate Pressure | Rated Power | Net Mass |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DSP-10 | 10 m³/h 6.7 cfm | 1800 rpm | 2 Pa 0.02 mbar | 550 W | 25.2 kg |
| DSP-15 | 15 m³/h 8.9 cfm | 1800 rpm | 2 Pa 0.02 mbar | 550 W | 25.6 kg |
| DSP-20 | 20 m³/h 13 cfm | 1800 rpm | 1 Pa 0.01 mbar | 750 W | 25.8 kg |
Compact common installation platform
All three configurations use a KF25 vacuum interface, universal 100–240 V AC supply and air-cooled architecture within the same nominal external dimensions.

A dry alternative to oil-sealed primary vacuum
Oil-sealed rotary-vane pumps remain suitable for many general laboratory vacuum processes. For applications where the vacuum path should remain free from pump oil, dry scroll technology provides an alternative mechanical pumping architecture.
The DSP Series requires no vacuum oil in the pumping chamber, reducing routine oil-management requirements and making the pump particularly suitable for clean laboratory vacuum systems.
Clean vacuum across battery and materials research
For laboratory systems requiring clean mechanical vacuum, compact installation and standard KF25 integration.

| Installation | Horizontal installation on a stable laboratory bench or floor surface |
Dry operation without routine vacuum-oil management
The DSP Series requires no vacuum oil in the pumping chamber. Routine operation therefore does not require the oil-level monitoring or vacuum-oil replacement associated with oil-sealed primary pumps.
Vacuum performance nevertheless depends on clean sealing surfaces, correct vacuum-line assembly, unrestricted cooling airflow and the mechanical condition of the pump.
Supplied in the selected configuration
Stable installation with unrestricted cooling airflow
Install the pump on a stable horizontal surface with sufficient clearance around the cooling-air openings for ventilation, inspection and maintenance. The operating ambient temperature should remain within the specified 5 to 45 °C range.
The vacuum exhaust should be routed and managed appropriately for the process. Pumped gases and vapours must remain compatible with the pump and with the complete vacuum installation.
