Natural Agate Grinding Jar with Lid
The S4R Natural Agate Grinding Jar is designed for laboratory grinding, milling, mixing and homogenization of solid samples.
Manufactured from high-silica natural agate, the jar combines high hardness, good mechanical strength and a smooth polished internal surface. Its composition contains approximately 97.26 wt% SiO₂, with the remaining fraction consisting of MgO, CaO and Mn₂O₃.
With a Mohs hardness of 7.2–7.5, the agate material offers good wear resistance during repeated grinding operations. The polished internal surface facilitates cleaning and helps reduce material retention between successive sample preparation cycles.
Each grinding jar is supplied with a matching natural agate lid and a sealing gasket. A wide range of nominal capacities is available, from 50 mL to 3000 mL, allowing users to select a suitable size according to their sample volume and laboratory requirements.
Custom agate grinding jars can also be manufactured with specific dimensions and geometries to suit the user’s milling equipment. If the required size or configuration is not included in the standard range, please contact S4R with the machine model, required dimensions and any relevant technical constraints so that a suitable jar can be proposed.
As agate is a natural material, slight variations in color, banding, translucency and surface appearance may occur between individual jars. These natural variations do not affect the intended performance of the product.
