The S4R HTO Series Laboratory High-Temperature Drying Oven is designed for controlled drying, thermal conditioning and dry-heat processing of laboratory materials at temperatures up to 500°C.

The system combines an LCD programmable temperature controller with adjustable circulating-fan operation, a mirror-polished 304 stainless-steel working chamber and a high-temperature ceramic-fiber door seal. Multi-stage temperature and timing sequences can be programmed for repeatable thermal-processing workflows.

Two temperature ranges are available: AH configurations operate from RT +20°C to 400°C, while BH configurations extend the maximum operating temperature to 500°C. Four chamber capacities are available from 50 L to 760 L, covering laboratory-scale through larger-capacity processing requirements.

Typical applications include high-temperature drying, desiccation, thermal conditioning, torrefaction, wax melting and compatible dry-heat sterilisation workflows.

Key Features

Engineered for programmable high-temperature processing

400°C or 500°C Operation

Each chamber capacity is available in an AH configuration up to 400 °C or a BH configuration extending the maximum operating temperature to 500 °C.

LCD Programmable Controller

Seven programmable periods and up to 63 steps support repeatable multi-stage temperature and timing sequences.

Ceramic-Fiber Door Seal

High-temperature ceramic-fiber sealing is designed for prolonged operation at elevated chamber temperatures and long service life.

Adjustable Shelf Spacing

Two shelves are supplied as standard, with adjustable spacing to accommodate different laboratory loads and container heights.

Chamber Construction

Designed for elevated-temperature operation

The working chamber is manufactured from mirror-polished 304 stainless steel. Rounded internal corners simplify routine cleaning and maintenance by reducing sharp internal junctions.

A ceramic-fiber door seal is used for prolonged operation at elevated temperature, while adjustable shelf spacing allows the internal layout to be adapted to the height and geometry of the laboratory load.

Programmable Control

Multi-stage thermal cycles

The LCD programmable controller supports seven periods and up to 63 program steps. Each period can be configured with a duration from 0 to 5999 minutes, allowing multi-stage temperature and timing sequences to be programmed and repeated between batches.

Preset startup and shutdown functions are available, together with adjustable circulating-fan operation according to the required process.

Series Architecture

Control and Regulation

Stability, programming and process repeatability

Specified temperature stability is ±0.5 °C, with a display resolution of 0.1 °C. The controller supports programmed thermal sequences and timing periods from 0 to 5999 minutes.

An independent over-temperature alarm system provides an additional temperature-monitoring function. Circulating-fan operation is adjustable according to the programmed process.

Spatial temperature uniformity is not specified for this series and should not be inferred from the temperature-stability specification. Where documented temperature distribution is required, temperature should be verified at the relevant sample position.

Micro Printer

Optional micro printer for local process-data recording.

RS485 Communication

Optional RS485 interface for connection to compatible computer-based monitoring or data-acquisition systems.

Installation

Planning electrical supply and installation space

All HTO references require AC 380 V / 50 Hz electrical supply. Rated power ranges from 3250 W to 8500 W depending on the selected reference, so the installation circuit should be confirmed before ordering.

Exterior dimensions range up to 1324 × 1263 × 1770 mm for the 760 L configuration. Available installation space, equipment access and suitable clearance around the oven should therefore be considered when selecting the required chamber capacity.

Reference selection. Chamber volume alone does not define the configuration. Each chamber capacity is available as an AH reference rated up to 400 °C and a BH reference rated up to 500 °C. The AH and BH versions share the same chamber dimensions but may differ in heating power. Select the reference according to required chamber volume, temperature range, rated power and installation requirements.

Temperature-performance note. The specified ±0.5 °C value refers to temperature stability. Spatial temperature uniformity is not specified for this series and should not be inferred from the stability specification.

Application and safety note. No explosion-proof or ATEX rating is specified for this series. Material compatibility and suitability for the selected processing temperature should be evaluated according to the intended laboratory application.
