Fused Quartz Tube — Open Ends

https://www.s4r.fr/web/image/product.template/274/image_1920?unique=a8cb18b

High-purity fused quartz tube designed for laboratory tube furnaces, heat-treatment systems and controlled-atmosphere thermal processing. Open at both ends, it can be integrated with suitable furnace seals, gas connections and vacuum assemblies.

Its low thermal expansion and high-temperature capability make it suitable for annealing, sintering, calcination and materials-processing applications. The standard range covers selected laboratory dimensions from 25 to 130 mm OD, with additional diameters, wall thicknesses and lengths available for specific furnace configurations.

Technical Notes
• Maximum usable temperature depends on tube dimensions, support conditions, atmosphere and heating cycle.
• Avoid rapid temperature changes and concentrated mechanical loads, particularly with long or large-diameter tubes.
• Samples should preferably be placed in a suitable quartz or ceramic boat or crucible rather than directly against the tube wall.
• Vacuum or pressure operation must be assessed according to the complete furnace, sealing and tube assembly.

Selection & Use
The standard range has been selected around common laboratory tube-furnace configurations, with several combinations of outer diameter, wall thickness and tube length. Each tube is supplied as a straight, open-ended quartz process tube. Size selection should take into account the furnace bore, sealing arrangement, heated-zone length and the required tube extension beyond the furnace body. Additional dimensions are available for non-standard installations.
