Ceramic Fiber Insulation Blanket — 1260°C

High-temperature ceramic fiber insulation blanket designed for laboratory furnaces, thermal-processing equipment and other applications requiring flexible refractory insulation.

The flexible fiber structure allows the blanket to conform around furnace chambers, process tubes and irregular surfaces while providing low thermal conductivity and low heat storage. Standard formats use a 610 mm width with 13, 25 or 50 mm thicknesses, supplied in practical 1 m and 2 m lengths for laboratory installation, maintenance and furnace modification.

Longer lengths and custom-cut dimensions are available on request.

The standard range is based on a 610 mm blanket width commonly used in laboratory furnace construction and maintenance. Three thicknesses are available to cover light insulation, general furnace lining and higher insulation-depth requirements. Practical 1 m and 2 m lengths allow small and medium laboratory installations to be completed without purchasing a full industrial roll. Longer and custom-cut lengths are available on request.

Technical Notes

• Select blanket thickness according to the required insulation level and available installation space.

• The flexible blanket can be cut and shaped to fit curved surfaces, furnace chambers and process-tube assemblies.

• Compression changes the effective insulation thickness and should be considered when fitting the blanket into confined spaces.

• Cutting and handling may generate airborne fibers or dust; use suitable local extraction and appropriate personal protective equipment.

• The classification temperature is a material classification value and should not be interpreted as a continuous-use temperature for every installation. Actual suitability depends on atmosphere, thermal cycle and installation conditions.

Selection & Custom Lengths

A 13 mm blanket is suitable where installation depth is limited, while 25 mm provides a practical general-purpose insulation thickness. The 50 mm format is intended for applications requiring a deeper thermal barrier. Standard lengths are 1 and 2 m. Longer lengths and custom-cut dimensions can be supplied on request for larger furnace and thermal-processing installations.
