Vacuum Grinding Jar with Agate Liner

The S4R Vacuum Grinding Jar with Agate Liner is designed for laboratory grinding, mixing and homogenization under vacuum or a protective atmosphere.

The jar combines a robust 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel outer body with an agate-lined grinding chamber. The agate liner limits direct contact between the sample and the metallic outer body and provides a hard grinding surface suitable for applications where reduced metallic contamination is important.

The internal chamber features a rounded bottom profile designed to reduce material accumulation in corners and facilitate sample recovery after grinding. Its smooth internal surface also simplifies cleaning between successive milling operations.

The lid is secured by multiple screws and fitted with connections for vacuum evacuation and protective-gas introduction. The jar can therefore be evacuated or filled with a suitable protective gas before the grinding process.

Available in 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL and 1 L capacities, the jar is intended for use with compatible planetary ball mills.
